Here's how to use Send Money with Zelle®

TD Bank checking or money market Customers can enroll in just a few minutes.

  • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking (Not enrolled? Sign up now.)
  • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
  • Review your e-mail address and phone number, and read and accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Select an e-mail address or U.S. mobile number to receive a verification code
  • Enter the code to verify your e-mail address or mobile number
  • We'll show your accounts that are eligible for Send Money with Zelle®
  • You're ready to send and receive money

It's easy to send money.

  • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking
  • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
  • In the mobile app, select "Send"
  • Choose the recipient, or select "Add New Contact," and enter their U.S. mobile number or e-mail address - remember, only send money to people you know and trust
  • Enter the amount you'd like to send
  • Select the account from which you would like to transfer money
  • Select "Review," confirm your payment details and select "Send"
  • If your recipient is not already enrolled with Zelle, funds won't be delivered until they enroll

When someone sends you money, you'll get a text message or e-mail. If you're expecting a payment but don't see it under "Activity," make sure the person sending you money has entered the same mobile number or e-mail address you used to enroll in Send Money with Zelle®.

When you request money from someone, you can specify the amount and the reason.

  • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking
  • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
  • Select "Request"
  • Choose the person from which you're requesting funds, or select "Add New Contact" and enter their U.S. mobile number or e-mail address
  • If you have added a contact with an account and routing number, you won't see that contact in the "Request" function
  • Enter the amount and select "Review"
  • Enter a reason if you'd like, then select "Request"
  • Let your contact know you have sent the request - they must approve it before funds will be delivered to your TD Bank account

You'll see a confirmation screen, and you'll be notified when the requested funds have been delivered to your TD Bank account.

Note: you can send a request for money to anyone, but the contact must be enrolled with Zelle in order to approve your request.

You can split an amount-like a dinner bill, utility bill or rent-with up to 5 other people.

  • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking
  • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
  • Select "Split" to display your contact list
  • Choose the people that are splitting the bill (select up to 5), or select "Add New Contact" and enter their U.S. mobile number or e-mail address
  • If you have added a contact with an account and routing number, you won't see that contact in the "Split" function
  • Enter the total amount you'd like to split between yourself and the contacts
  • Adjust the amount requested from each person if you'd like (your portion will be automatically deducted)
  • Enter a reason if you'd like, then select "Split"
  • Let your contacts know you have sent the request - they must accept it before funds will be delivered to your TD Bank account

You'll see a confirmation screen, and you'll be notified when the requested funds have been delivered to your TD Bank account.

To use Send Money with Zelle® and send funds within minutes, you'll need a TD Bank Visa® Debit Card, and your recipient must also be enrolled with Zelle using their registered e-mail address or U.S. mobile phone number.

To add a Contact in the TD Bank mobile app:

  • Open the app and select "Send Money"
  • Select "Settings," and then select the "Contacts" tab
  • Select "Add New Contact"
  • Enter the person's name, then select the contact information you'd like to enter: U.S. mobile number or e-mail address
  • After you enter the information, select "Save"

To add a Contact in Online Banking:

  • Log in to Online Banking and select "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
  • Select "Add New Contact"
  • Enter the person's name, then select the contact information you'd like to enter: U.S. mobile number or e-mail address
  • After you enter the information, select "Save"

  • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking
  • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
  • Select "Activity"
  • In Online Banking, all pending and past activity will appear on one page - in the mobile app you can toggle between the two tabs

1Send Money with Zelle® is available for most personal checking and money market accounts. To use Send Money with Zelle® you must have an Online Banking profile with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. mobile phone number, an active unique e-mail address, and a Social Security Number.
